I was a bit worried about grip since the description is sparse, but the rubber coating is actually nicely textured and comfortable to hold during curls. They feel solid and don't wobble at all when I set them down between sets.
The hex shape does stop them from rolling, which is nice. But the rubber coating has a strong chemical smell that took weeks to air out, and the weight numbers are painted on and already starting to chip. They work for basic exercises, just don't expect them to hold up perfectly over time.
