I was skeptical about how well a portable unit would cool a larger room, but this one handles my living space easily. The 24-hour timer is so convenient for setting it to turn off after I fall asleep.
The remote is handy for adjusting from across the room, and the sleep mode actually keeps the noise down at night. It cools my bedroom to a comfortable level but takes a while to really kick in on the hottest days.
It does a decent job cooling a small room, but the dehumidifier function isn't as powerful as I'd hoped. The remote is handy, though the 24-hour timer takes a few tries to set correctly.
